One product review revlon colorstay foundation combo/oily skin

I’m a sucker for matte foundations, that’s why I had to try Revlon one! I was late, as usual, but I eventually gave in because too many people loved it, I couldn’t bear not to know if it was good or bad for my skin! It’s available in two versions,  for normal/dry skin and for combo/oily skin, which is the one I picked.

Comfortable, lightweight formula specifically made for combination or oily skin to control oil absorption and shine. Price 6.00 $ - 8.00 € for 30 ml.

What I like : I’ve been very impressed with this foundation because it performs really good to be low cost, to me it’s comparable to Mac Studio Fix Fluid, which is my holy grail foundation. It’s full coverage but it’s not cakey, it’s definitely visible though but l like it!it’s buildable and when applied with a beauty blender it looks more natural. The texture is not too runny but not too thick. The finish is matte but not flat. It doesn’t set into fine lines and it doesn’t emphasize pores. I set it with translucent powder but it could be worn on its own, it’s a matter of personal preference. Lasting power is medium. It gives a flawless look to my face but it starts to look cakey after about 5 hours.

What I don’t like: now it comes with a pump but the first one I purchased came in a bottle without a pump and it’s not easy to get the product out when there’s not much of it inside, just like mac studio fix fluid. What l don’t like is that it doesn’t keep shine at bay too long, l get oily in my t-zone after a while.

My verdict: it’s a good low cost foundation if you’re looking for full coverage and you like matte finish. It’s not super effective at keeping shine at bay, but it works for a good 4-5 hours so I recommend it if you don’t want to go for a high end product but you still want your skin to look matte.

Amo i fondotinta dalla finitura opaca, ecco perché ho dovuto provare quello Revlon! Come al solito sono arrivata tardi, ma alla fine ho ceduto perché ne avevo sentito parlare bene da tante persone e non potevo sopportare di non sapere se andasse bene o meno per il mio tipo di pelle! È disponibile nella versione per pelli normali/secche e in quella per miste/grasse, che è quella che ho scelto.

Vediamo come viene descritto: il fondotinta numero 1 in America, adesso con una pompetta a prova di pasticci e con protezione SPF. Disponibile in 35 tonalità per ogni carnagione e tipo di pelle. Finitura opaca e impeccabile che dura fino a 24 ore. Formula leggera, studiata appositamente per pelli miste/grasse per controllare l’assorbimento e la lucidità. Prezzo 6.00 $- 8.00 € per 30 ml.

Cosa mi piace: sono rimasta molto colpita da questo fondotinta perché, per essere low cost, ha un’ottima resa, per me paragonabile a quella del Mac Studio Fix fluid, che il mio fondotinta preferito di sempre. È a copertura totale ma non è pesante, anche se è sicuramente visibile, ma a me va bene! È modulabile e, se applicato con una beauty blender, dona un risultato più naturale. La consistenza non è né troppo liquida né troppo densa.  La finitura è opaca ma non piatta. Non si infila nelle rughette e non enfatizza i pori. Io lo fisso con della cipria trasparente ma, se preferite, potete usarlo anche da solo. La durata è media. Uniforma l’incarnato ma dopo circa 5 ore si inizia a notare che non è più fresco ed è un po’ pastoso.

Cosa non mi piace: adesso è dotato di un erogatore a pompetta, ma il primo che ho acquistato non la aveva e, quando non c’è più tanto prodotto all’interno, è difficile farlo uscire dalla bottiglia, proprio come succede per il Mac Studio Fix Fluid. Il suo maggior difetto è che non mantiene la pelle opaca a lungo, io inizio a lucidarmi nella zona T dopo circa 4-5 dall’applicazione.

Il mio verdetto: è un valido fondotinta low cost se cercate una copertura totale e vi piace la finitura opaca. Non è eccezionale nel tenere a bada la lucidità, ma lo fa per circa 4-5 ore, quindi lo consiglio se non volete acquistare un prodotto di alta profumeria ma volete comunque che la vostra pelle risulti opaca.
