5 best mascaras of 2017

A new year has just started and I’ve thought it would be nice to write a series of posts where I tell you what some of my favorite products are, it can be useful and we can compare our preferences, I hope you like the idea!

Let’s start with a product I don’t stock up too much, mascara: I used to buy only lancome mascaras but in the last few years I’ve tried several ones and there are some low cost ones I really love and that are as good as high cost ones!

Here’s my favorite 5 from bottom to top:

Kiko overblown mascara: it’s not available anymore unfortunately, I hope Kiko will put it back in stock with some limited edition or even in their permanent line because I really love it! I bought it on sale thinking it was just an everyday mascara but it blew me away: it gives volume, it gives length and it lasts all day without smudging not even when it’s super hot outside! The wand is quite thick and it’s got a ball at the very end that allows to coat thinner lashes in the outer and inner corner of your eyes, it works really well for me. it doesn’t get too dry with time, I’ve opened it six months ago and the consistency is still the right one!

Lancome definicils mascara: it’s a staple of mine, I’ve been using since I was a teen and I still think it’s great! It does elongate lashes and it separates without clumping , for a more open and awake look. It doesn’t add too much volume but the overall result is beautiful and remarkable in my opinion. It doesn’t smudge. It’s easy to apply. The wand is a traditional one, because simple things sometimes are the best!

Benefit roller lash mascara: this mascara works wonders for my lashes, the wand is curved just like the Maybelline one and it’s not too big so you’ll love it if your eyes aren’t big, it’s easy to follow the natural curve of your lashes and, with no effort, it gives volume, it lengthens them and it also curves them a lot, actually is the one that curves them the most and for the longest time! It doesn’t smudge and it’s long lasting.

Too Faced Better than sex mascara: it’s in second place just because the Maybelline one is cheaper and it performs just as well, but they’re actually very similar and it’s hard to pick one, it depends on how much you want (or can) spend. This mascara adds so much volume to your lashes it’s amazing, even if yours are thin they will look thick and full! It opens up the eye really well, it adds length and it doesn’t smudge, I love it!

Maybelline fake lashes mascara: I love this mascara, it’s probably my all time favorite because it’s not expensive but it’s better than the last Lancome (doll eyes) one I’ve purchased! The wand is slightly curved to follow the natural curve of eyelashes, it coats every single lash, it gives lots of volume and it curves them beautifully. Even if you apply two or three coats it doesn’t get clumpy, it doesn’t smudge and it lasts all day. It really looks like you’re wearing fake lashes!

È iniziato un nuovo anno e ho pensato che sarebbe stato interessante scrivere una serie di post dove vi parlo di alcuni dei miei prodotti preferiti, può essere utile e possiamo mettere a confronto le nostre preferenze, spero che l’idea vi piaccia!

Iniziamo con uno dei prodotti che accumulo di meno, il mascara: per anni ho usato solo mascara Lancome ma, negli ultimi anni, ne ho provati tanti altri e ne ho scoperti alcuni economici che amo molto e che sono altrettanto buoni di quelli più costosi!

Ecco i miei cinque preferiti, dal basso verso l’alto:

kiko overblown mascara: purtroppo non è più in gamma, spero che kiko lo riproponga con qualche edizione limitata o lo reinserisca nella linea permanente perché mi piace moltissimo! L’avevo comprato in saldo pensando fosse un mascara da tutti i giorni e invece mi ha piacevolmente colpito: dà volume, allunga e dura tutto il giorno senza colare anche quando fuori le temperature sono altissime! L’applicatore è abbastanza grande e ha una pallina all’estremità che permette di raggiungere le ciglia più corte nell’angolo interno ed esterno dell’occhio, su di me funziona molto bene. Non si secca troppo col tempo, l’ho aperto da circa sei mesi e la consistenza è ancora quella giusta!

Lancome definicils mascara: è uno dei mascara che ricomprato più spesso, lo uso da quando ero adolescente e ancora lo ritengo uno dei migliori in circolazione! Allunga molto le ciglia e le separa senza formare grumi, aprendo lo sguardo e rendendolo più sveglio. Non volumizza troppo, ma il risultato finale secondo me è notevole e di grande effetto. Non cola. È facile da applicare. L’applicatore è quello classico, perché a volte le cose semplici sono le migliori!

Benefit roller lash mascara: questo mascara fa miracoli per le mie ciglia, l’applicatore ha una forma curva come quello di Maybelline e non è troppo grande, se avete gli occhi piccoli vi piacerà, è facile seguire la naturale curvatura delle ciglia e , senza fare sforzi, le allunga, dona volume e le curva moltissimo, direi che è quello che le curva di più e più a lungo degli altri! Non cola ed è a lunga durata.

Too Faced Better than sex mascara: l’ho messo al secondo posto perchè quello di Maybelline è altrettanto valido ma è più economico, ma sono in realtà molto simili ed è difficile scegliere, dipende da quanto si vuole (e si può) spendere. È incredibile quanto questo mascara volumizzi le ciglia, anche se le avete sottili ve le renderà corpose e folte! Apre molto lo sguardo, allunga e non sbava, lo amo!

 Maybelline fake lashes mascara: adoro questo mascara, è probabilmente il mio preferito di sempre, non è caro ma funziona meglio dell’ultimo Lancome che ho preso ( doll eyes). L’applicatore è incurvato in modo da seguire la curva naturale delle ciglia, cattura ogni singola ciglia, dà  molto volume e gli dà una bella curvatura. Anche se ne applicate due o tre strati non si formano grumi, non cola e dura tutto il giorno. Sembra veramente di avere le ciglia finte!
