One product review kiko nutri fusion face serum

Hi fairies,
This serum came out with the limited edition Generation Next and the packaging immediately caught my attention, I love the see through bottle and the pink serum inside so I had to buy it!
It retailed at 15.90 € for 50 ml of product. Unfortunately  I couldn’t find its description because it’s not available anymore.

kiko_nutri_fusion_face_serum_review

What I like: obviously I love the packaging, it comes in a pear shaped glass bottle, very sturdy, see through as I said, with a pump and a lid. It looks beautiful and it would be nice displayed on your vanity or in your bathroom. The pump works well and you need just one pump at a time for the whole face. I can barely smell a light floral scent but, to me, it’s almost fragrance free; the consistency is gel like and it gets absorbed really fast leaving my skin feeling fresh and firm. I’ve noticed my skin feels firmer and more toned after using it every day, which I love! It’s good for oily skin as it’s lightweight and not greasy, but it’s a serum so you need to moisturize your skin anyway. It can be used as a face primer or as a makeup base.

What I don’t like: glass bottles look good and “high end” somehow, but the con is they’re prone to break so you need to be careful and not to leave them unattended when children are around. The only thing I don’t like about serums is I still need to apply a face cream afterwards, which means my skin routine is longer than usual. I don’t take serums with me when I travel for this reason, I try to take with me just few products, those I can’t live without.
kiko_nutri_fusion_face_serum_review

My verdict: all in all I like it and I would repurchase it if it was available, my skin looks firmer and toned so it does what it says, it’s not heavy and it’s not sticky, it’s a good serum.

Italian version:

Ciao fatine,

Eye makeup look chocolate fudge

Hi fairies,
I chose a warm makeup to end this month even though it’s not my favorite to wear, but sometimes it’s nice to step out of my comfort zone and try colors I don’t often use! This look is super easy but it looks very fancy and classy, it’s great for a night out and , if you don’t apply glitters, it’s totally wearable during the day.
I started by applying a matte taupe eyeshadow as a transition color in my crease and in the outer corner of my eyes and I blended it out really well going back and forth several times; I intensified this shade by adding a matte milk chocolate eyeshadow on a smaller blending brush so that the taupe could still peek through. On my lid I applied a vanilla shade and I topped it with iridescent glitters. I completed the look with a winged liner and mascara, and that was it, I hope you like it!

Ciao fatine,

one product review: Urban Decay super saturated ultra intense waterproof cream eyeliner

Hi fairies,
After trying (and loving) Urban Decay waterproof liquid liner 24/7 in perversion, my holy grail liquid liner I repurchased several times already, I’ve decided to go ahead and try the cream liner of the same line. I prefer liquid liners because they allow me to draw very thin lines and to thicken them when I want to , I can be very precise when they come with a good applicator brush like the Urban Decay one and I like the finish more, but I like trying gel liners every now and then just to see how they perform.

urban_decay_super_saturated_ultra_intense_waterproof_cream_liner

Let’s see how it’s described: What it is:
A creamy, waterproof, all-in-one liner perfect for fine, precise lines or smudged, smoky eyes.

What it does:
Triple-black pigments lay down deep, pure, and intense color in a single stroke. The creamy, soft formula dries quickly, making controlled, precise application simple. Insanely versatile, this product can create a little definition to the lash line or build thick, bold lines for a more dramatic look.

What it is formulated WITHOUT:
- Parabens
- Sulfates
- Phthalates

What else you need to know:
This product contains nourishing jojoba oil, which provides moisture, giving the formula a creamy glide. Price 23.00 $ - 22.00 €

What I like: I love the packaging, very sleek and edgy, a must have if you love the brand but, to tell you the truth, I don’t buy products because of the packaging , even when it’s very alluring…my rational side always wins! I like the consistency , which is just the perfect one to draw a line without any efforts, the product is very smooth and it glides on the skin like butter without being too creamy and smudging. It’s very pigmented and extremely black, you don’t have to go over it to get the intensity you’re looking for , which is great. It is waterproof and it lasts all day, it doesn’t crack on my lids and the finish is semi matte , really nice in my opinion!

urban_decay_super_saturated_ultra_intense_waterproof_cream_liner

What I don’t like : it dries pretty fast if you don’t close the jar very well after each use and, even when you do, the texture changes after few months and it gets a bit harder to work with it, especially if you’re not a pro with gel liners. It’s not a cheap product so that’s something to keep in mind , you might have to throw it away and waste some money if you’re not careful!

My verdict: it’s one of the best gel liners I’ve tried so far and, even if it’s not low cost, I feel it’s worth it because it’s not easy to find a good gel liner , easy to use and to apply, waterproof and long lasting , pigmented and with a nice finish!

Italian version:

Ciao fatine,
Scopri Super-Saturated Waterproof Cream Eyeliner

Golf nail art

Hi fairies,
I’ve never played golf but I want to try one day, it seems relaxing and fun! I’ve been practising by painting a golf theme on my nails, it’s a start , isn’t it?
As a background color I chose a sky blue because the weather has to be nice to play, and then on my thumb I painted a green tip, which was the perfect place to lay my golf club! On my index finger I painted a flag, while on my middle finger I drew some hills and a tee with a ball on top and that was it, I hope you like it!

Ciao fatine,

eye makeup look : Bamse inspired

Hi fairies,
Bamse is a Scandinavian cartoon character, he’s a teddy bear and he’s the strongest bear in the world! There’s an amusement park dedicated to him and I think he’s super cute!
For this look I started cutting my crease with a mustard eyeshadow and a detail brush, drawing a line just above my natural crease and following its shape. On the outer corner I swirled it up and then I built the color up adding it a bit at a time and blending it as I went. I used a matte cream eyeshadow as my browbone highlighter and to further blend the edges of the mustard eyeshadow. On my lid I applied a bright blue eyeshadow trying not to overlap the color in the crease. On the outer corner of my crease I drew a honey jar because that’s what Bamse eats and what gives him strength!
I completed the look with a winged liner and mascara, and that was it , I hope you like it!

Ciao fatine,

One product review kiko water eyeshadows

Hi fairies,
Kiko water eyeshadows are very popular and I’m sure most of you have got at least one of them; I got more than one in my drawer and, as they’re part of Kiko permanent line, I decided to tell you what I think about them. I’ve heard different opinions on these eyeshadows, it seems some love them and some hate them …do you love them or hate them?!

kiko_water_eyeshadows_review

Let’s see how they’re described: Revolutionary eyeshadow with instant colour release and dual wet and dry use.A mixture of groundbreaking spherical powders for an outstanding colour effect, bringing together extreme coverage, pure luminosity and long lasting. Its soft, creamy texture enables the creation of a multi-dimensional make up, for colour with "bright" volumes and remarkable purity. Thanks to powders particular manuufacture, this eyeshadow is easy to blend and offers immediate release of perfectly even colour. The exclusive three-dimensional shape, with a special ergonomic design, facilitates product uptake, making it quick and easy. Price 8.90 £- 8.90 €.

What I like : they have a creamy texture and there’s almost no fall out, I love how pigmented they are and how smooth they go on my lids; the color range is, in my opinion, gorgeous, because every single shade is vibrant and there are great neutral and great colourful shadows to make everybody happy! When applied on a creamy base they look amazing because you can truly see how shimmery they are, so I suggest you to use one underneath. They last all day without fading nor creasing. They’re easy to blend and they can be used in the crease as well as on the lid , and the color is buildable. There are a couple of golden shades that work really well as highlighters, they’re actually versatile! They can be used wet and dry but they’re vibrant when dry , it’s just a matter of personal preference.

kiko_water_eyeshadows_review

What I don’t like : it’s hard to find faults to these products, I haven’t found any to be honest! If you don’t like shimmers they’re not the right eyeshadows for you but, apart from that, they’re great! It’s hard to open the packaging, I always have to try several times before succeeding and , sometimes, I chipped my nail polish by trying.

My verdict: quality price ratio is great, in my opinion they’re worth more than what you pay them, the color range is wide and some shades are definitely unique; some others can be used as highlighters as well, which make them perfect for travelling. I love shimmers so these are right up my alley, I use them a lot and I have fun mixing and matching them!

kiko_water_eyeshadows_review

Italian version:

Ciao fatine,

Jeffree Star Androgyny palette swatches and first impression!

Hi fairies,
Last week I received my Jeffree Star’s androgyny palette and I want to show you some swatches and tell you my first impression! I own the Beauty Killer palette and I adore it, it’s my favorite along with the Urban Decay Electric Palette, so when Jeffree announced the release of a second palette I knew I would have ordered the moment it was available! I ordered it at Beautylish, the official European Jeffree Star’s retailer ( but now his products are also available at Maquillalia!), and I received it in ten days!

jeffree_star_androgyny_palette_review_swatches

jeffree_star_androgyny_palette_review_swatches

I purchased it because I love the color range, in my opinion is unique and right up my alley: it’s a well balanced mix of warm and cold shades and it allows to create natural looks as well as dark smokey eyes. There are some really stunning and unique colors in this palette, for example swallow is a matte dark teal, military is a matte olive green and androgyny is a matte mauve and you don’t see these colors often, most of all you don’t see good quality ones.
The packaging is very similar to the Beauty Killer palette, (here you'll find my first impression on it) same size, just different color: this is burgundy and it’s textured like snake skin. All eyeshadows are vegan and cruelty free. Finishes are super matte and metallic. Price 45.00 €

jeffree_star_androgyny_palette_review_swatches

Let’s see colors in detail :

frosting: metallic rose gold
safe world: matte taupe
charm: matte tangerine with microglitter
déjà vu: matte rich copper
dominatrix: dark matte brown with warm undertones
androgyny: matte mauve
fetish: metallic burgundy
military: matte olive green
poison: matte teal
swallow: matte deep royal blue

when I first swatched them I was shocked at how good quality was! I think the Beauty Killer quality is amazing, all eyeshadows perform well, they are long lasting and super pigmented (here you can read my first impression) but this one is even better! They improved the formula and the texture of both finishes is very velvety, very pigmented and each eyeshadow is soft at touch. There’s no fall out whatsoever, not on pans nor when you apply them, you just have to touch the pan to get an insane amount of pigment on your finger or on your brush! They’re very easy to blend and they’re buildable, I suggest to apply a little bit at a time because the color pay off is extremely good even in lighter shades such as safe world, which is the perfect transition color for my skin tone. They last all day without fading away nor creasing. I think it can appeal neutral lovers as well as there are warm tones and it’s really easy to do an everyday makeup with this palette.
The only con I find is it’s not a complete palette, there’s no highlighter, but I don’t mind because I rarely use just one palette to do my eye makeup, I usually mix and match more than one.

jeffree_star_androgyny_palette_review_swatches

All in all I’m really happy with my purchase and I’m sure I’m going to use it a lot! Have you bought it? Will you buy it? I also bought my first Jeffree Star lip tint and skin frost in ice cold, I already love it!

jeffree_star_androgyny_palette_review_swatches

Italian version:

Ciao fatine,

Prezzo 45.00 €.

jeffree_star_androgyny_palette_review_swatches

Vediamo i colori nel dettaglio:

frosting: oro rosa metallico
safe world: taupe opaco
charm: arancione intenso opaco con microglitter
déjà vu: rame intenso opaco
dominatrix: marrone scuro opaco con sottotono caldo
androgyny: malva matte
fetish: Bordeaux metallico
military: verde oliva opaco
poison: verde petrolio opaco
swallow: blu elettrico scuro opaco
jeffree_star_androgyny_palette_review_swatches

jeffree_star_androgyny_palette_review_swatches

jeffree_star_androgyny_palette_review_swatches
swatched it on my bare skin

World of beauty neroli vivace nuova linea / new line

Hi fairies, I’m very pleased to have the chance to try the new Neroli Vivace line by World of beauty and I’m thrilled to talk about it to...
