September most played

Hi fairies,
It’s the end of the month and guess what? It’s most played time! I finally finished the Occ tinted moisturizer , you saw it among my empties, and I’m back to liquid foundation, I’ve also tried lots of new products and I’m in love with some of them! Before starting I’ll leave you the link to GoldenVi0let’s blog, the creator of the most played tag and, if you haven’t joined us yet, you definitely should!

I love kiko metallic shine eyeshadow nr 02 , it’s part of the rebel romantic limited edition, I’ve been using it a lot this summer: it’s a cream to powder texture that sticks to the lid really well, there’s absolutely no fall out, it’s very pigmented, it can be applied with your fingers or a synthetic brush, it lasts all day even when temperatures are around 40 ° , the color pay off is great, what’s not to love about it?! When it was 38 ° it saved my life: I applied it all over my lid, I blended the edges, I added eyeliner and mascara and I was good to go!

When I wanted to add some depth to the look I reached for kiko cream crush lasting color eyeshadow 04 matte taupe, another product I love : I’m not a fan of cream eyeshadows , but this one surprised me because the texture is velvety and it’s very easy to blend, I use it in my crease and it’s not patchy nor streaky, the result is the same as powder eyeshadows! The color is really beautiful, if you’re pale you’re going to love it , it’s the perfect transition color and it looks good on the lid as well, it’s very classy and natural! I wish they added more matte in the range, quality is extremely good!

Another Rebel Romantic products I love are intensely lavish lipsticks, I bought number 01 and 02, both neutral colors and , to be honest, very similar to each other( if I could turn back time I would purchase just one) ; their texture is very interesting because they apply creamy but, once they set, they turn to matte. They are very comfortable and they don’t dry your lips, I would call them demi matte because of how comfortable they are and because of how they look , they look beautiful, similar to Mac satin ones, and they perform really well as far as I’m concerned!

Last but not least I have to mention my The Balm meet Matt(e) palette, a nude palette with unique matte shades that allow you to create neutral looks, smoky eyes or bold makeup looks , it’s very versatile , each color is pigmented, velvety, easy to work with , and very long lasting. Here you can read my full review .

Ciao fatine,

Kiko metallic shine eyeshadow nr 02

kiko intensely lavish lipsticks

September empties aka all good things come to an end

Hi fairies,
this month my empties’ box is full of products, just like last month, therefore I suggest you to grab a cup of tea and a snack because it’s going to be a long post! I’ll try to keep it short because I don’t want you to get bored, but I have to say I’m happy I used so many products; some were about to end in august but I actually finished them in September, that’s why they are so many. Let’s start:

september empties

I received samples from Annmarie Gianni skin care, here you can read my post about it, and this month I tried three of them, two facial scrubs and a cleanser: the cleanser had the most amazing smell ever, it smelled of fresh lemons just picked out of a tree , I couldn’t stop sniffing it! I would buy the full size just for the smell, but it’s a good cleanser as  well, gentle yet effective at keeping my skin clean. As for both scrubs, they are fine but I wouldn’t repurchase them because there are good scrubs at a lower price. These came as powder and they had to be mixed with water to get the right consistency, so they’re not fast to apply like gel or crème ones.

annmarie gianni skin care samples

I finished kiko lip balm , it’s not the first one I buy and it’s alright for my lips that don’t need deep hydration; it’s got a subtle mint scent that fades away once you apply it.

kiko_lip_balm

A product I already repurchased because , in my opinion, is really good, it’s too faced cocoa powder foundation: I use it as a face powder matched with tinted moisturizer because it gives me the right amount of coverage and it evens out my skin without looking cakey, and I use it on top of my regular foundation as well, especially when I have to go out all day and I want my skin to stay flawless. I take it with me in my handbag for touchups , I love the texture and the smell, it keeps shine at bay , it minimizes pores, it’s a must have for me!

too faced cocoa powder foundation

I’ve been loving Kiko perfect gel duo top coat, the only cons is that it doesn’t last too long, this is the second bottle I’ve used; it gives nail polish a shiny finish and it makes it last longer, I really like it and , luckily, I’ve still got 5 or 6 bottles in my stock !

kiko perfect gel duo top coat

You know how much I love the body shop Camomile gentle eye makeup remover, here you can read my full review on it, it is my all time favorite eye makeup remover because a little goes a long way, it removes almost any kind of makeup , even waterproof one (but it’s not formulated to remove waterproof makeup) , I don’t need to rub my eyes and it has never irritated my skin.

the_body_shop_camomile_gentle_eye_makeup_remover

I used a shea butter jar as usual, I can’t live without shea butter! I use it on my skin and on my hair, it’s very rich and moisturizing and it helps soften those areas that usually get very dry such as elbows and heels.

shea butter i provenzali

For my hair I usually buy the body shop beautifying oils ,available in several scents, this one is sweet lemon and I bought it when it was on sale: I love sweet and foodie scents, I wouldn’t have picked this one but I did because it was half the price and , all in all, I liked it even if it wasn’t my favourite one. The oil itself is as good as always, the only difference was the scent.

the_body_shop_beautifying_oil_sweet_lemon

I finished two lip pencils, one is Kiko smart lip pencil nr 715, a purple shade I match with almost all my purple lipsticks, I couldn’t sharpen it anymore so it was time to get rid of it but I have already repurchased it ! the other one is an automatic lip pencil , the number is 510, and I used it all till the last bit as you can see! I like them both, even though the automatic one broke few times and I wasted a bit of products because of that.

kiko_lip_pencils

L’Oreal super liner slim line did its job till the end, but it was all gone and I couldn’t get a sharp and neat line anymore so I had to let it go. I liked it, it’s got a fine felt tip that allows to draw fine lines or thicker ones by pressing the tip a bit more, it’s versatile and easy to use and it lasted really long , I think I’ve had it for about two years!

loreal slim liner e kiko skinny fit eye pencil
Kiko skinny fit eye pencil , on the other hand, is basically new , but it’s gone bad!it smells really bad and , when I used it, it burned , so I realized it had to go. This is the first time in my life a makeup product goes bad, it’s not even old, I bought it one year ago, I don’t know why it happened but these eye pencils weren’t that great anyway: they don’t write in the waterline and they’re too soft to be used as eyeliner in my opinion, so I’m not too sad about it.

This summer I used Occ tinted moisturizer almost every day, and now it’s time to get rid of it as it’s empty! I’m proud of myself because at first I didn’t like it at all, it didn’t provide enough coverage for my taste, but when it was very hot and humid it turned out to be perfect to even out my skin without feeling heavy and without getting patchy, it was a life saver to be honest! I topped it with translucent powder to mattify my skin and I was good to go! I might repurchase it next summer.

occ_tinted_moisturizer

My body lotion of the month has been the body shop vanilla brulee, a shimmering body lotion that smells amazing! If you love vanilla you would love this one, it’s not too sweet but the scent will stay on all day , and so will the sparkles!

the_body_shop_body_lotion_vanilla_brulee

Now can we talk about kiko face brush? I bought it full of hope, I wanted to use it on a daily basis to exfoliate my skin deeply and to keep my pores unclogged, I had heard good things about it and I decided to buy it. Well…this is how it looks after I used it 5 times! I mean seriously! It’s falling apart and I don’t know how it happened, I just brushed my face and then I washed it and put it on a towel waiting for it to dry, I didn’t expect that at all! Have you got it? Does it work for you? Tell me your experience!

kiko face brush

I already used Kiko purifying scrub , and as you can see I used another tube of it, I really like it and I think it’s a great scrub for oily skin: it’s not too aggressive but it’s very effective at keeping your skin clean, it keeps breakouts at bay, my skin looks glowy and pores look minimized and cleansed.

kiko purifying scrub

This was the first Kiko face makeup fixer I’ve ever tried and I totally love it, it makes a difference at keeping my makeup in place all day, I’ve noticed my skin doesn’t get shiny and it doesn’t look cakey as time goes by, that’s why I already repurchased it! It’s not expensive  and it’s definitely a must have, especially if your skin is oily!

kiko face makeup fixer

Last two products are tea tree oil, which is great to dry breakouts fast, and World of Beauty extreme nectar ultra moisture, a lightweight gel that is quite moisturizing , perfect for summer as it’s not greasy and it gets absorbed very fast.

Ciao fatine,

Me lo porto in borsa per i ritocchi, opacizza e minimizza i pori, per me è un must have!

too faced cocoa powder foundation

kiko perfect gel duo top coat

burro karitè i provenzali

loreal slim liner e kiko skinny fit eye pencil

Kiko face makeup fixer

tea tree oil
