One product review : urban decay revolution lipstick

Today’s review is about urban decay revolution lipsticks that came out last year and they were the first brand’s lipstick. I waited a bit for swatches and reviews before purchasing mine, and eventually I gave in and I picked my shade, which is called Turn on that is described as a rosy pink but it looks more like an antique pink. To be honest with you I expected it to be darker and more on the fuchsia side than it actually is, but I’m happy with it because I didn’t have any similar shade and it complements my skin tone nicely, so it ended up to be a good choice!

What I like: the first thing I noticed when I opened it it’s that it has got no scent: it’s totally scent free, and it’s a bit weird because any lipstick has got a scent, sometimes it’s a very light one, just a hint, but it’s there. This one hasn’t got any and I actually appreciate it, even though I love some brands’ scents, but in my opinion not having any is better and it feels more natural somehow. Second thing I love about it it’s the texture: it’s very creamy and smooth, it glides on your lips effortlessy without being too creamy, it feels very comfortable and it doesn’t smudge. It’s easy to apply , it’s very pigmented and the color is full , not streaky and not patchy at all. Once set it stays on for 6-7 hours, it’s not sticky but it’s got a nice shine to it that doesn’t fade away even if you drink or eat. It stays put, in all its glory, and you basically don’t even feel it on your lips, it’s very light weight! Its formula is unique as far as l’m concerned because I can honestly say I’ve never tried any lipstick similar to this one and I suggest you to try it , you won’t regret it! It’s cruelty free and price is 19.90 € - 22.00 $  for 0.09 oz 

What I don’t like: for once I’m really at a loss of words when it comes to list cons, because to be honest I can’t find any and I’ve been thinking about it trying to! Actually this is a great quality lipstick and it’s definitely worth the money, the only downside could be that those of you with very dry lips might find it a bit drying after 5-6 hours, not like a matte lipstick of course, but a bit less moisturizing than very creamy lipsticks. To me it’s the perfect consistency but some prefers very rich lip products.

My verdict: it’s absolutely recommended, to me it’s one of the best lipstick on the market for color pay off, texture, for how long it lasts and for the color choice, which isn’t dull at all, there are some amazing and unique shades, but you know that Urban Decay never disappoints when it comes to vibrant and innovative colors!

La recensione di oggi è sui rossetti devolution lipstick di Urban Decay, lanciati sul mercato l’anno scorso come novità assoluta della marca. Prima di comprarne uno ho aspettato di vedere gli swatches e di leggere delle recensioni, poi alla fine non ho resistito ed ho scelto il mio colore, Turn on, che viene descritto come un rosato, ma su di me vira verso il rosa antico. Ad essere sincera me lo aspettavo più scuro e più fucsia di come risulta, ma sono contenta lo stesso di averlo scelto, perché non avevo nessun colore simile e si adatta a diversi tipi di trucco, oltre a stare bene con la mia carnagione, quindi è stata un’ottima scelta!

Cosa mi piace:  la prima cosa che mi ha colpito non appena l’ho aperto è stata l’assenza di profumo : non ne ha proprio nessuno, e mi ha lasciato un po’ perplessa perché tutti i rossetti ne hanno uno, anche se molto delicato, invece questo no! Alcune marche hanno un odore che amo, ma nonostante questo credo che non averne sia un lato positivo perché aiuta a dimenticarsi di indossare il rossetto e dà una sensazione più naturale. La seconda cosa che mi è piaciuta molto è stata la consistenza: è cremoso e morbido, si stende sulle labbra molto agevolmente senza sbavare ed uscire dal contorno. È molto confortevole e ci si dimentica di averlo, il colore è pieno già dalla prima passata, non lascia righe e si stende uniformemente. Una volta fissato dura 6-7 ore, non è appiccicoso pur avendo una finitura leggermente lucida che resiste anche dopo aver bevuto e mangiato. Rimane dove l’avete messo, in tutto il suo splendore, senza che debba essere ritoccato! Secondo me vale il prezzo che costa, ha una formulazione unica e vi consiglio di provarne uno, non ve ne pentirete! È cruelty free. Prezzo 19.90 € - 22.00 $  per 0.09 oz.

Cosa non mi piace: questa volta sono a corto di parole, onestamente mi risulta difficile trovargli difetti anche dopo averci pensato a lungo! Se proprio devo essere pignola, penso che chi ha le labbra molto secche possa trovarlo , dopo averlo indossato per 4-5 ore, non particolarmente morbido e confortevole, non certo come un rossetto opaco, solo non paragonabile a rossetti molto cremosi. Per me la sua consistenza è l’ideale, ma c’è chi preferisce prodotti più idratanti.

Il mio verdetto: è assolutamente promosso, come ho già detto lo considero uno dei migliori rossetti sul mercato per quanto riguarda pigmentazione, consistenza, durata e finitura, ed anche per la gamma di colori, che sono in perfetto stile Urban Decay, non scontati e comuni, ma innovativi ed originali!
