Today’s
product is not a new one, it’s been on the market for quite a long time, but
it’s still worth reviewing it because I actually haven’t read too much about it
and, as I happened to buy it few months ago, I’m ready to share my experience
with you!
What I look
for in a mascara is a volumizing and lengthening effect that makes them doll
like! They are naturally average length and just average in general, that’s why
I need a mascara that boosts them up! I usually go, from the same line, for the
golden one, and I like the result, but this time I wanted to try the red one;
these mascaras are two in one, on one side you’ll find the base and on the
other side the actual black mascara.
Let’s see
how it’s described by L’Oreal: two in one mascara combining a fortifying
Extender base coat with a color Magnifier top coat to take lashes to new
lengths with rich color that won’t run,clump, flake or smudge. Ultra nourishing
base coat infused with Ceramide R and D-Panthenol protects and strengthens
lashes. Ophthalmologist and allergy tested. Suitable for sensitive eyes and
contact lens wearers. See up to 80% longer lashes. Washable mascara.
What I
like: it comes with a traditional wand, not silicone one, and you have to first
apply the base coat that has got fibers in it to lengthen your lashes. You can
immediately see they look longer , just after one coat. The base coat can get a
bit clumpy if you’re not careful and you apply it with a heavy hand, I suggest
you not to pack the wand with lot of product. Once it’s almost dry you’ll go in
with mascara and I like how my lashes look really long! The brush also
separates them and it pulls them up and out, I love that too! It’s long lasting
even though it’s not waterproof, but I rarely wear waterproof mascara and I
never got problems of smudging or feathering even though I wear contacts. It
looks natural but better than your lashes, it doesn’t feel heavy and it doesn’t
clump. Price is around 9 $- 12.00 €.
What I
don’t like: the base coat can get clumpy and stiff if you let it dry completely
before applying mascara, and in this case the result will be off: your lashes
will look spidery, it will be hard to separate them and to run the brush
through them, that’s why l recommend to apply mascara when base coat is still a
bit wet. Although it does a great job at lengthening lashes, I can’t say the
same about volumizing them : it just doesn’t add any volume, they don’t look
fuller or thicker. I’ve also noticed, due to the base coat, lashes get a bit
stiff and when you remove it you can feel it and it’s not that easy to get rid
of it.
My verdict:
my feelings about this product are just …meh. It’s not a bad mascara but it’s
not a great one either. It’s good for everyday but it doesn’t give your lashes
an extra boost, it does make them longer just. I want more from mascaras that’s
why, even if I don’t consider it a total failure, I won’t repurchase it and
it’s not among my favourites.

Il prodotto di cui vi parlo oggi non è una novità , è sul
mercato da un bel po’ di tempo, ma secondo me vale la pena recensirlo perché
non ho letto molto su di lui, e dal momento che l’ho comprato qualche mese
fa,sono pronta a condividere le mie impressioni con voi!
In un mascara io cerco un effetto allungante e volumizzante,
che mi regali le ciglia da bambola! Le mie ciglia non sono particolarmente
lunghe e non sono particolarmente fitte , diciamo che , nel complesso,
rientrano nella media, per questo ho bisogno di un mascara dall’effetto deciso!
Di solito ho sempre preso, della stessa linea, quello dorato , e il risultato
mi soddisfa, ma stavolta ho voluto provare quello rosso ; questi mascara sono
dei due in uno, da un lato trovate la base e dall’altro il mascara vero e
proprio.
Vediamo come lo descrive l’oreal: Double Extension Beauty
Tubes è un mascara doppio gesto che si applica in 2 fasi: Fase 1: TRATTAMENTO RISTRUTTURANTE- La nuova formula
bianca contiene Ceramide R e D Panthenol; è una base che fortifica, ristruttura
e protegge le ciglia.
Fase 2: EXTENSION
TUBES- Il nuovo mascara, asciugandosi, crea un rivestimento attorno alle
ciglia: sono i “tubes”, veri e propri tubicini ultra-allunganti che,
avvolgendole, prolungano le ciglia visibilmente! Il nuovo mascara Double
Extension Beauty Tubes porta due grandi innovazioni nell’universo dei mascara:
Tubing technology: i “tubes” rivestono le ciglia e hanno un vero e proprio
effetto extension, perché le prolungano visibilmente: + 80% DI LUNGHEZZA. I
“tubes” si sfilano semplicemente struccandosi con abbondante acqua tiepida,
senza sfregare: STRUCCARSI è FACILE e DELICATO.
Cosa mi piace:
la spazzola è tradizionale, non di silicone e, come viene spiegato nella
descrizione, dovete prima applicare la base rinforzante e allungante. Già alla
prima passata potrete notare l’effetto allungante. La base però, può formare
dei grumi se non fate attenzione e ne applicate un po’ troppa, per questo vi
consiglio di prelevare poco prodotto per volta. Quando si è quasi del tutto
seccata potete passare all’applicazione del mascara, e l’effetto allungante mi
piace molto! L’applicatore , inoltre, separa bene le ciglia e non fa formare
grumi, anche questo un punto a suo favore! È un prodotto a lunga durata
nonostante non sia waterproof, ma personalmente uso molto raramente questa
tipologia di mascara e non ho avuto mai problemi di sbavature, nonostante io
usi le lenti a contatto. Il risultato è molto naturale, potremmo definirlo “le
vostre ciglia al loro meglio” , non risulta pesante e non crea grumi. Il prezzo
è intorno ai 9 $- 12.00
€.
Cosa non mi piace: la base rinforzante diventa dura e si
ammassa se la lasciate seccare del tutto prima di applicare il mascara, e in
questo caso il risultato sarà negativo: le ciglia risulteranno a “ragnetto” ,
sarà difficile separarle e far scorrere uniformemente l’applicatore, ecco
perché consiglio di non lasciar asciugare la base completamente. Nonostante
allunghi le ciglia notevolmente, non gli dà nessun tipo di volume, non
risultano più folte neanche dopo diverse passate. Ho anche notato che, forse
per via della base, le ciglia tendono ad indurirsi a fine giornata, e non è
facile rimuovere tutti i residui.
Il mio verdetto: i miei sentimenti verso questo prodotto
sono abbastanza neutri. Non è un pessimo mascara, ma neanche uno eccezionale.
Va bene per tutti i giorni, allunga le ciglia ma non fa molto altro. Voglio di
più da un mascara, ecco perché, nonostante non mi senta di bocciarlo,
sicuramente non lo ricomprerò e non è tra i miei preferiti.
