one product review : Guerlain Rouge G L'extrait M27 Luxure

Few days ago I showed you my Sephora purchases and this lip tint was one of them: today we’re going to go a bit more in depth, I’ll tell you my opinion about this famous and high end lip product!

Let’s see how it’s described: a perfect combination of lipstick and lipgloss. Liquid, creamy, consistent, ultra pigmented and velvety, Rouge G l’Extrait exceptional lip color is the perfect cross between a lipstick and a lipgloss. The liquid texture glides gently over the lips and within a few moment the silky color becomes matte. This non sticky, non drying, non feathering texture leaves your lips looking flawless for hours.

Without parabens, sulfates and phfhatalates. This formula features rejuvenating and smoothing ingredients that increase with continual application. Hyaluronic acid smoothes and plumps the look of lips, while centella asiatica ( tiger grass) supports natural collagen synthesis. Price is 48.00 $/ 34.00 € / 29.00 £ for 0.20 fl. oz

What I like: it is very pigmented ,I’ve got the M27 luxure, a classic , timeless red,  a little goes a long way. The texture is silky and smooth, and it goes on your lips beautifully without getting into fine lines and without drawing attention to them, you need just one coat for a good coverage and it creates a sort of film all over your lips, making them look really glowy and shiny. It makes them look a bit plumpier as well, l think because of how shiny it is . it dries pretty fast and once it has it turns to be matte but, unfortunately, it does transfer when you eat or drink. There’s a mirror encased in the bullet, which is perfect for a touch up when you’re at work or out for dinner. It doesn’t smudge and it easily lasts 6-7 hours on my lips without drying them out. 

What I don’t like: the packaging. Can we talk about it? It’s very glamorous and classy, designer style , it is quite heavy but I don’t mind that, my problem is it’s very tricky to open and close, so tricky that you need a degree in Guerlanology to close it! There are instruction on how to open it on the bullet but no word on how to close it down. Basically you have to push and pull and twist to open it, and l managed it quite easily. When it comes to close it though it’s been an entirely different matter! I had to google it and only after several attempts l eventually succeeded! I swore to myself l would never open it again, but l did and once you’ve got the hang out of it it gets easier.  Another thing I don’t like is it transfers even after becoming matte, when you drink or eat there’s no way to avoid that, maybe because it’s a bit glossy and l think they couldn’t avoid it  without changing the texture to a totally matte one.

My verdict : product itself is a good one, I love how pigmented it is and the texture, longlasting and opaque with a bit of shine. It’s longlasting and it’s a very good quality, the only thing is I wish they changed packaging, if they did that I would buy more shades probably!

Qualche giorno fa vi ho mostrato i miei acquisti da sephora e questa tinta labbra ne faceva parte: oggi ne parleremo più approfonditamente, e vi dirò le mie impressioni su questo famoso prodotto di alta profumeria!

Vediamo come viene descritto: una perfetta combinazione tra rossetto e lucidalabbra. Liquido, cremoso, corposo, super pigmentato e vellutato, l’eccezionale tinta labbra Rouge G l’extrait è l’incrocio perfetto tra un rossetto e un lucidalabbra. La sua consistenza liquida scivola dolcemente sulle labbra ed in pochi secondi il colore per labbra setoso si trasforma in un colore opaco. La sua consistenza non è appiccicosa, non secca le labbra e non crea sbavature, e mantiene le vostre labbra impeccabili per ore. Senza parabeni, solfati e ftalati. La sua formula contiene ingredienti liscianti e rimpolpanti i cui risultati si vedono con un uso costante .l’acido ialuronico dà alle vostre labbra un aspetto più liscio e pieno, mentre la centella asiatica aiuta la naturale sintesi del collagene. Cosa mi piace: io ho il colore M27 Luxure, ed è un rosso senza tempo, classico, molto pigmentato, ne basta poco per colorare tutte le labbra. Ha una consistenza cremosa e setosa, si stende molto facilmente e non va ad enfatizzare le naturali pieghette o le eventuali pellicine che compaiono quando le labbra sono secche, questa tinta labbra crea una pellicola sulle labbra e le fa apparire lisce ed anche leggermente rimpolpate. Ha una buona coprenza, ne basta una sola passata secondo la mia esperienza. Si asciuga velocemente ,ma una volta asciugatosi e diventato matte non diventa però no transfer purtroppo. Trovate uno specchietto incastonato nella confezione, che è molto comodo per ritocchi veloci quando si è al lavoro o a cena fuori. La durata è ottima, 6-7 ore senza seccare le labbra.

Cosa non mi piace: la confezione. Vogliamo parlarne? È molto raffinata ed elegante, pesante ma per me questo non è un problema, il problema è che non è affatto facile aprirla e chiuderla, praticamente serve una laurea in Guerlainologia per riuscire nell’impresa! All’esterno c’è un adesivo dove sono stampate le istruzioni per aprirla, ma mancano quelle per chiuderla. Praticamente bisogna spingere, tirare e svitare , e devo dire che sono riuscita a farlo senza grosse difficoltà. Quando è arrivato il momento di chiuderla però, è stata tutta un’altra storia: vi dico solo che ho dovuto cercare su google e solo dopo molti tentativi ce l’ho fatta! Avevo giurato a me stessa che mai e poi mai l’avrei riaperta, ma poi l’ho fatto e adesso sono un po’ più pratica, e non ci impiego più due ore ogni volta! Un ‘altra cosa che non mi piace è che, anche dopo essere diventato matte, se mangiate o bevete perde colore , credo dipenda dalla formulazione che è un misto fra rossetto e lucidalabbra: per mantenere l’effetto lucido questo è il prezzo da pagare.

  

Il mio verdetto: secondo me è un buon prodotto, mi piace la pigmentazione e la consistenza, opaca ma con un tocco di lucido, e mi piace la lunga durata. Se potessi sceglierei cambierei il packaging e lo renderei meno complicato, se così fosse potrei anche comprare altre colorazioni!
