Minty green with a pop of red eye makeup look

Today’s color combo is unusual, at least for me, and after trying it out I think it’s very underrated and I’d like to see it more often because these two colors go really good together! I will definitely wear it from now on, it’s also perfect for spring but then again minty green is perfect for every season!

Achieving this look is fairly easy, basically I applied minty green all over the lid and just above the crease, and I left a gap in the inner corner: that’s where we’re gonna place our red! To get a great result you have to blend the minty green up above the crease till you’ll get a nice fading effect, and also you have to blend very well where the red and green meet, so that there isn’t any harsh lines and colors don’t look muddy. I used different shades of red to achieve that , I started with a matte true red in the inner corner and then I patted on a burgundy red where it met minty green : burgundy red has got blue in it , and that helped getting a nice gradient!

La combinazione di colori di oggi è, almeno per quanto mi riguarda, inusuale, ma dopo averla provata credo che sia fortemente sottovalutata, e mi piacerebbe che si vedesse più spesso, dal momento che questi due colori si abbinano benissimo! Io la riproporrò sicuramente nei miei makeup quotidiani, secondo me è anche molto indicata in primavera, ma del resto il verde menta è perfetto per ogni stagione!

Ottenere questo look non è particolarmente difficile, praticamente ho applicato il verde menta su tutta la palpebra mobile fino alla piega dell’occhio, ed ho lasciato uno spazio vuoto nell’angolo interno: lì andrà applicato il rosso! Perché il risultato sia buono dovete sfumare molto bene il verde fino sopra la piega dell’occhio, finchè non otterrete un effetto omogeneo, e dovete anche sfumare bene dove il verde ed il rosso si incontrano, in modo da eliminare qualsiasi riga netta si sia formata e anche in modo che i due colori non si mischino tra loro, andando a dar vita ad un colore indefinito non bello a vedersi. Ho usato diverse tonalità di rosso per evitarlo, nell’angolo interno ho applicato un rosso vivo matte e poi , proprio vicino al verde, ho steso un rosso vinaccia : questo colore vira verso il viola, quindi c’è del blu al suo interno, e questo ha aiutato ad ottenere un bell’effetto sfumato!
