Christmas series : mistletoe and kisses nail art

For my first Christmas nail art I went for a cute, traditional and simple design everybody can recreate and customize! You can skip the sparkly tips if you’re not a glitter lover, or you can paint only mistletoe if you don’t feel confident enough at drawing lines and curves, or you can paint silver or golden bows …combos are endless , all you have to do is let your creativity flow!

I chose a dark-almost black but not black- background, Dior Black Ink, and I added sparkles on the bottom half of my nails. With red acryilic paint I drew bows on the upper half of my nails and I added mistletoe hanging out of my bows, ready for witnessing kisses and hugs!

I wanted to add a touch of snow and I tried the essence Let it snow topper …I’m not impressed with it at all , it’s very runny to the point that when l opened the bottle l spilled it on the floor ..it’s watery almost and it doesn’t add any sparkles at all, it looks like a plain top coat.

Christmas shopping tips? Too Faced Jingle all the way Palette my review

Here’s another Christmas gift idea for you! It’s a compact palette from Too Faced, a brand that you sure know about and that has got extremely good products on the market with attention to packaging , new trends and, most important of all, quality.

They came out with this palette for Christmas with a captivating packaging and compact size but the big surprise they got in store for us is that you get two gifts in one , the palette itself and the palette case that actually is an iphone 5 case designed exclusively by Mary McDonald, a tv host and celebrity decorator!

The palette is 25$ and you’ll get 9 eyeshadows plus two highlighter shades for a total of 11 eyeshadows. They’re all shimmery apart the highlight ones and they go from a very nice sparkly black to a champagne color, from a sky blue to a baby pink and from a deep brown to a taupe so you can create many different looks, from neutral ones to smokey eye to colorful ones perfect for holiday season! Even those of you neutral girls are tempted to dare at Christmas time and it’s the right time to do so! The shadows are velvety and easy to blend. You’ll find a bronzer and a pink blush to complete the palette, both are a bit shimmery and they blend out beautifully to give you rosy cheeks without being too bright.

It’s perfect to travel with as it’s the same size of an iphone 5 and you get everything you need for everyday makeup just by tossing it in your handbag!

Personally I think it’s a great gift for young girls and for those of us that love tech and makeup!
I haven’t seen any other palette set that comes with a gift not makeup related but I might have missed it , anyway I think too faced got a very good idea!

idee per lo shopping natalizio? Too Faced Palette Jingle all the way la mia review!

Rainbow wavy cut crease makeup look

I seem not to be able to stay away from rainbows aren’t I? I can’t help it, I love colors , they make me smile and they turn a cold winter day into a magical colorful whimsical day that’s why I went for a very colorful makeup today! It is a sharp wavy cut crease in electric blue that reminds me of deep ocean water: I drew it with a light blue pencil that acted as a base for electric blue eyeshadowa nd I rounded the inner line so that it resemble a wave shape, and on my lid I applied rainbow shades from yellow in the inner corner to purple in the outer corner. To get a sharp cut crease line I used a qtip to clean up the edges and also a bit of concealer to make it extra neat. It’s a makeup perfect for fairies isn’t it? Oh and it’s perfect for everyone who wants to stand out :)
